The week ahead: Mario, Matteo and two rate decisions

To taper or not to taper? This is one of the questions facing ECB President Mario Draghi, regarding the fate of the QE program. Mixed signs from Bank officials make the rate decision the main event of the week. Draghi’s compatriot, Italian PM Matteo Renzi, will also stand out, regardless of the results of the Italian referendum, sometimes dubbed “Renzirendum”. In addition, rate decisions from Australia and Canada will also be of interest.
