EUR lower after Cyprus PM resigns

The EUR is flirting with the 1.2900 as we approach the noon hour here in New York. We started trending lower after news came out that the Cypriot PM had resigned.

US equity markets have given back all their gains and are presently trading in the negative.

It looks as if there are some traders trying to hold the 1.2900 level. Failure here brings the major support level at 1.2880 into play.

Still no word on the Cypriot levy vote although most expect a negative result.
