The average score in our large cap universe is 62.1. Over the past four weeks, the score has averaged 66.91. The average large cap stock in our coverage is trading -12.71% below its 52 week high, 3.03% above its 200 dma, has 4.55 days to cover short, and is expected to grow EPS by 12.29% next year.

Industrial goods, basics, and financials are the best large cap sectors. Technology and services score in line. Healthcare, consumer goods, and utilities score below average.

The strongest large cap industries are lodging (WYN, MAR, H), oil & gas refiners (HES, VLO, TSO, MUR, MRO), ag. chemicals (CF, AGU, MOS, DD), healthcare plans (UNH, HUM, ANTM), and money center banks (PNC, JPM, BNS, BK, WFC, RY).

In basics, buy refiners, ag. chemicals, and major chemicals (FMC, EMN, DOW). The top consumer goods groups include auto parts (LEA, BWA), processed & packaged goods (CAG, MKC, PEP), and cigarettes (RAI). Money center banks, P&C insurers (ALL, ACGL, XL, TRV, RE), and regional banks (BBT, RF) are top scoring in financials. The best healthcare industries are healthcare plans and medical instruments (SYK, BCR, BDX). Focus on aerospace/defense (COL, BA), farm & construction (AGCO, CAT), and diversified machinery (IR, DOV) in industrials goods. Lodging, department stores (KSS), and railroads (CSX, UNP)  can be bought in services. Semi equipment & materials (AMAT, KLAC), specialized semi (MCHP, NVDA, XLNX, LLTC), and communication equipment (GLW) offer upside in technology.
