BlackRock Expands To Energy Infrastructure

BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) will release their FQ2’18 earnings before the market opens on Monday. Estimize consensus predicts an EPS of $6.76, a 29% growth (YoY). This EPS estimate is 12 cents higher than Wall Streets prediction. Estimize has beaten Wall Street BLK EPS predictions 64% of the time. We anticipate revenue of $3.608B, a 22% YoY growth, while Wall Street projects revenue of $3.45B.

BlackRock is the world’s largest asset manager. The company has benefited greatly from tax cuts but has been hurt by volatile markets. They have recently acquired First Reserve Energy Infrastructure Funds, a leading private equity fund that focuses exclusively on energy. The company is also planning to raise $3.5 billion for investments in energy infrastructure. Lastly, BlackRock is expanding to France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy in order to move closer to customers post-Brexit.
