The US Non-Farm Payrolls report is expected to show a gain of around 200,000 positions in November, lower than in October but a healthy figure by all measures. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said that the employment situation is doing well by “many measures.†Salaries are projected to rise by 0.3% m/m and hold onto 3.1% y/y after finally topping this level in October. This the last NFP before the critical FOMC decision. The Fed is set to raise rates, but there is a huge level of uncertainty about the moves in 2019.
