A Peek at a New Peak

Both the DJIA and the S&P 500 made new closing highs today. Market Shadows’ Virtual Value Portfolio was not to be outdone. We also established a new record today.

Our virtual portolio remains above our benchmark, the SPY ETF, over the identical time frame. We have gained another $2,010 through the first four trading days this week.

 

Our latest purchase, 200 shares of Aegion (AEGN) was especially well-timed.

The stock gained more than 5% from yesterday’s purchase through today’s close.

We have additional exposure to AEGN through the previous sale of 6 AEGN June 2014 $20 strike price puts @ $1.50 per share in premium.
