US interest rate hike: Has the Fed lost all credibility?

Francis Hunt, the market sniper, joined Zak Mir and Mike Ingram in the Tip TV studio to discuss the potential for a Federal Reserve interest rate hike, and what it might mean for investors.

Quantitative easing, the deflation causer?

Hunt highlights the diminishing returns that QE has had in stimulating inflation, and questions whether its only positive effect comes during polar extremes. Now, as we look to a return of normal monetary policy, we can see the negative effect that the drawn out QE policy has had on the global economy.

Tomorrow’s rate rise might never come.

Francis Hunt points out that commentators have been calling an interest rate hike constantly since 2010. Were the Fed to delay the hike once again, the question will begin to suffer as to whether the Fed has lost all credibility.
