Here is another test episode of Market Movers, presented by Lior Cohen of Trading NRG and Yohay Elam of Forex Crunch. As you can see from the title, we are still in a testing period. You are welcome to listen, subscribe and provide feedback.
In today’s episode, we focus on the US, divided into two parts:
- Where is the long awaited inflation?: With all the printing of dollars, many had expected an outbreak of inflation. Where is it? We discuss what the Fed actually did, where the money ended up and what could change the policy of the Fed in the context of the various measures of inflation.
- Big week in US data: the first release of GDP, the FOMC meeting and of course the non-farm payrolls are all top tier events that move currency markets, stock markets and commodities. We observe the different aspects of each event, where a lack of change could actually move the markets in a significant manner and what figures could steal the show (depending on the circumstances.
